Self Service(Information) Workflow

Hello Gurus,

We are in need of a self service workflow, where end user can request for information(similar to self service).

For example,a user search for a role with tcode X which does not exist in system.He may request this in worflow which should go to

Security and they may process further.Problem is for process id  SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST, any role/system selection is mandatory.

Any idea on implement this is appreciated..

Hi,

I think you just simply require the end user to be able to create an access request for themselves and submit it as per any Access Request submission. For this, you need to give them the Access Requestor role in GRC, or enable this generically via the End User screen options in SICF and restrict the authorisations so that they can only submit a request for their own ID.

The user will only get the role/s assigned if the right approvals are provided based on your normal Access Request workflow, therefore there should be no issue if a end user raises the request via self-service.

If you want the end user to search for a role with tcode "X", then you need to maybe consider giving them a reporting role (containing access to the Role Mining reports)  so they can query the roles available via GRC.
