Problems with installing SAP IDES ERP 6.0 ehp 6 during "Starting Instance" phase of install.

Hi,

First of all I would like to make clear I'm no expert on SAP and new to contributing to this forum.

The company I work for asked me to look into installing SAP IDES ERP6.0 ehp6 on a server. It would run directly on the server without the use of VMWare or the use of software with simliar functions.

I used the following software for the install:

51042263_13  --> BS7i2011 Installation Master

51044815_part1 til part40  -->  SAP IDES ERP6.0 EHP6 Export

51042061_10  -->  RDBMS MAXDB 7.9.07 build 10

51041998_5  -->  Kernel non-UX

51041998_6  -->  Kernel UX

51041988_8  -->  Connector

The install went pretty well until stage 21. This stage (Start Instance) gives an error.

The instance is starting up, and immediatly given a shutdown status, after which the install fails.

Could anyone help me out with this problem?

UPDATE

I just ran the install for the fourt time to generate some log files to add to the previous post, and suddenly it went past phase 21 and finished the install succesfully. No idea why he didn't do that the first three times.

I should report there was a minor windows update between the 3rd and 4th attempt. It's the only thing i can think of.

At least the problem is solved for now
