Unable to update Servercore Component from Sp1 to SP4 by using SUM tool

Hi,

I used SUM tool to Update Netweaver Component SERVERCORE from 7.31 SP01 to SP04 but unable to proceed.The Update Tool Didn't read the Inbox for Target Component Level.

The TargetVersion.html ScreenShot as follows

    Followed the note 1641062 and try to deploy the latest patch of SP04 available on SMP but getting same error.

Hi Chandrababu,

In SUM , you can only apply the latest patches for a corresponding SP level by selecting the manually option. As a result you are getting the above error.

To Apply the SP suppose from 1 to 4 , then you need to use stack.xml file for the same and you will not received the rejeceted error.

Hi Thanks for the Update,

To download Stack.Xml we need Solman right? , But Ours is a New installation and we didn't completed the installation yet. Any alternate to download stack.xml without solman?

Are you applying a patch to this component only or the whole stack?...

I believe you need to do an stack upgrade, you might not be able to upgrade this component on it own

Hi Chandra,

There is a difference between SP and patch level.

You cannot apply SP SCA manually using SUM, however, you can apply patch.

Also you don't update a single core component alone.

• BASETABLES
• J2EEFRMW
• ENGINEAPI
• SERVERCORE
• CORETOOLS
• J2EE-APPS*

All these should be updated.

Hi Srivastava,

Thanks for the Update and we already updated remaining components are as follows except Servercore.

BASETABLES 7.31.4

J2EE-FRMW  7.31.4

ENGINEAPI 7.31.4

SERVERCORE 7.31.1

CORE-TOOLS 7.31.4

J2EE-APPS 7.31.4

Now we try to update it by using SUM tool, and getting the error as mentioned above.

As said before, they all should be applied together.

How did you update the other components ?

using stack file and SUM ?

At that time i used JSPM for individual SPS and later i updated JSPM to SP10, and now JSPM not supported to update the remainig component.

Is there any chance to revert JSPM sp from 10 to SP04?

This is not the way to do.

Check with SAP and also check telnet deploy option for this SCA.

As this is a core component, I still would suggest you to check with SAP.
