Fiori launchpad designer: missing tile templates

Dear all,

We have installed the PPM Fiori apps on our system; we have managed to get these apps on the launchpad. Now we want to add a custom app to the catalog. If we start the launchpad designer and click on the catalog and then on the "+" to add another tile we should be able to select one of the 4 tile templates. However this page is completely emtpy.

Does anyone have a clue what is missing?

Hello Masa,

I have seen that note (sorry I didn't mention explicitly that I have first ran over all existing posts with a similar problem), but there are no entries in table  /UI2/CHIP_CHDR, neither any clues in the SMICM trace. Service  /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/tilechips is active as well. Note 1961957 has been applied.

Any other thoughts?

The UI-addon is on SP7, de SAPUI5 libraries have version 1.18.1

Hi John,

"1.18.1" means you have not applied mandatory notes for SP07.

Installing SP09 is less effort than applying notes for S07.

Hi John,

Have you done deleting cache?

Post processing and Recheck

• Having done your changes run the report /UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE and check the errors are not in table /UI2/CHIP_CHDR any longer.
• If your changes have not been effective you might have to run report /UI2/DELETE_CACHE_AFTER_IMP to clear the server side cache for PAGES.

I have ran all "delete cache" programs I could find in the /UI2/ and / UI5/ namespace and there are currently no records in table /UI2/CHIP_CHDR.

Hi Masa,

Yes there is, although I don't think there is a relation with the missing templates.

We have applied SP09, cleared all shared memory objects and ran all "delete cache" reports related to SAPUI5.

thank you for prompt reply.

I invalidated caches according to 2017117 before, but still the same.

Recently updated to SP09 as well, also few notes applied to get to 1.22.5.

Hi John,

finally issue was with incompletely implemented "patchset" of all SAP notes for 1.22.3 -> 1.22.4/5 -> 1.22.7. Some notes have been still missing.

Thanks Jan, I faced similar issues while seeing tiles in launch pad designer and was able to fix by re-checking and deploying missing notes for SAPUI5 1.22.7

Hi John,

Can you be specific on which apps, by name, you are using?  Also which version of Fiori are they for?  Launchpad automatically means at or after X2, but doesn't actually identfy whether from 2nd, 3rd, or 4th release.

Hello Michael,

The PPM apps are:

• ppm_pfmdcpt_apv (Approve Decision points)
• ppm_pfmitem_chg (Change Portfolio items)
• ppm_pfmitpr_cre (Create Portfolio Item Proposals)
• ppm_protsk_cnf (Confirm Project Task).

I don't know from which release these apps are. Is there a way I can find out?
