9.1 dashboard error - couldn't load plug in

Former Member

Hi,

When trying to run any SAP provided dashboard in a 9.1 cockpit I get the error "couldn't load plug in". I can run the dashboards outside of the cockpit and Crystal connects just fine. Has anyone seen this yet?

This is an SQL environment. Not HANA.

Thanks,

Roy

I've resolved a similar issue by installing Adobe Shockwave: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Hope this helps

Tried it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Nice idea though.

Issue: Perform clean installation of 9.1 PL4, launch dashboards, and receive this error:

Resolution when using Windows Server:

  1. Install Adobe ShockWave: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
  2. Install Adobe Flash (FP 16 for Firefox- NPAPI): http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    1. Select the operating System
    2. Select FP 16 for Firefox –NPAPI

**If you are still having the issue, and have uninstalled and re-installed B1if one or more times, than you may need to perform the following:

Use below query to delete all entries of SLSP and SLSPP tables in SBO-COMMON database (SAP Note 1619422, Section 4.2, Soltion to Root Cause1 - https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F...) .

delete from SLSPP

delete from SLSP

Restart B1i services

Re-run Event sender setup and ensure test connections are successful to SBOCOMMON and the DB you are configuring your dashboards.

Please mark correct if this resolves your issues.

Thank you. Installing PL4 and redoing the other steps resolved this. It must have been an issue with the earlier versions.

Hey thank you!

I followed your post, but after I installed adobe shockwave flash, I got the 'Cannot connect to SAP Business One Integrated Service' error message.

So I uninstalled the shockwave and continue with installing flash player for other versions(I ended up installing both for firefox and chromium).

I tested the cockpit and it was going well, so I tried installing shockwave again. However, after shockwave installation I got the ''Cannot connect to SAP Business One Integrated Service' again so I uninstalled it again.

Now my cockpit has been going well without Shockwave. Just a note, just in case this happens to someone else.

I am having the same issue. But I can only go back and forward. Originally after enabling the dashboard widget I got the message 'Couldn't load plug-in' as in the original post of this thread.

After installing flash as a recommended fix I got the new error 'Cannot connect to SAP Business One Integrated Service'  I checked in services and the SAP B1 Integration service was running. After uninstalling flash I just get back to the original 'Couldn't load plug-in'.. Anyone had this and was able to resolve?

Thanks and regards,

David

In the end it got sorted by installing both Flash player and Shockwave player. Error is now gone.

Unfortunately, installing the newest version of Flash has not solved the problem. I may move to the new dashboard type in PL2 and see if the issue is resolved.

Hi Roy,
I am using 9.1 and it is working.

this 127.0.01 is the dashboard B1i Administrative Logon.

http://127.0.0.1:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/dummy/com.sap.b1ip.system.cc/bfd/AdminConsole.bfd?!defdoc=...

and it should be the same as your dashboard login when you click from the general settings inside sap business one.

If the URL is giving you a different IP or it is pointing to the server name, then go back to your SLD maintenance  and update the correct settings. (database, xcelsius and hanyxcelsius).

Hope this helps.

Hi Roy - I have just discovered same issue, have you managed to find a solution yet?

I have not. I have a message out with SAP. Hopefully I will get a response soon. I am not convinced the problem in Flash because I can run the dashboards from the dashboard manager outside of the cockpit.

Hi,

You'll need to download the Adobe Flash Player plugin. Note, for browsers OTHER THAN Internet Exploree.

It's not the Adobe plug in. Plus I am running IE 11. It was a good idea though.

The one plugin I'm aware of that must be installed for dashboards is Adobe Flsh Player plugin for Chrome.

WHat's the plugin required in the error message?
