Hi All,
As per the latest version GTIN is in standard data model. Looking for insight if any one have worked on the external integration of GTIN using ( 1Sync and GS1) . Please do share the document or if any other information any one have.
Thanks
Rohit
Depends whether you are on the side that creates or receives EAN/GTIN.
For Retail customers, there is an inbound solution "GDS Inbound" to receive trade items from external platforms.
If you are e.g. a "consumer products" customer, than you need to send trade items to the GS1/1Sync hub (outbound) -> totally different process.

Well, if you are receiving GTINs from GS1/1Sync, this sounds you are a retail customer. MDG is not released for ERPs switched as Retail systems. Please check Dilip's blog: http://scn.sap.com/community/mdm/master-data-governance/blog/2014/04/17/sap-master-data-governance-f...
That said: To receive trade items from platforms like 1Sync and GS1, I know only of the GDS inbound which is part of the standard shipment for retail systems.
But this would then be a retail/article topic rather than an MDG topic.
What do you mean by external integration? What is the source of the GTIN?
You, or an MM consultant, should be able to configure auto-generation of GTIN's and they should work in MDG automatically.
If you are thinking about calling a web service or an RFC to get a new GTIN, then you should look into Enrichment Spots. Here is a how-to guide:
