Hello,
I would like to migrate from Oracle to MSSQL, is there any limitation in Software Provisioning Manager concerning version of source database?
System is running Oracle 10.2.0.2
Do I need to update to 10.2.0.5 first?
Regards,
Martin
Hello
To take the export of the source system you do not need to patch the Oracle to a higher patch level.
You just need to make sure that the target system should have supporting OS and DB. For certain versions of MSSQL I believe there is a need to a minimum support pack level. If you have plans to enable compression in the MSSQL then you can take the export with the compression enabled.

Hi Martin,
As such there is no restriction from SWPM for Oracle 10g for performing DB export. As you migrate from Oracle to SQL request you to have a look into hetergenous system copy guide for guidance.
Additionally refer to PAM for checking OS/DB compatibiltiy with SAP release on SQL environment.
