Hi All,
We tried to create an additional field in cProejcts (Project Header). In version 4.0, theres no provision to add a field in existing tab.
We created a custom data element appending the Project structure (DPR_PROJECT). When we tried to create a tab & assign this field to it, only the tab appeared without the field. We activated all the neccessary transactions.
Could any1 pls let me know, is there anything else that needs to be done..
Helpful answers will definitely be Rewarded!!!

From what I can tell, it's the same as Sujay. We've created the custom fields; assigned to a field group; and then followed the steps you outlined for setting up field control. The tab shows up, but still no fields.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Our developer added the fields to the structure DPR_TS_PROJECT_EXTENDED_ATTR, and then I added the fields to field group. Then I followed the steps for field control that you outlined:
1. Run the report DPR_CUST_FLDS_IN_FC_MAP , which you have already done.
2. Create a copy of the field control 0SAP
3. Select Object Type DPO - Project Definition
4. Make new entries in Assign Fields to Field Groups
5. Select the external Structure: DPR_TS_API_PROJECT_O. You should be able to see the additional field.
I can still only see the tab, but no fields.
Hi Reema,
The problem got solved.
Thanks for your timely reply.

Hi Reema,
The field control is being created in the same way as u've mentioned. But in the extrnl structure DPR_TS_API_PROJECT_O i was unable to find the custom field, nor in the DPR_TS_PROJECT_EXTENDED_ATTR.

Hi Reema,
The SAP note were really helpful. But i could not implement them as we'r running on patch level 7.
When i tried to create field control for a custom field in "Set up field control", i was unable to select the Custom data element which i had created by appending the structure. This was after running the Report DPR_CUST_FLDS_IN_FC_MAP.
Could you pls throw some light on this!!

Hi
I suppose you can do enhancements on SP 7 too.
About Field Control.
You should be able to see the additional field
Are you following the same process??
Regards,
Reema
Hi Sujay,
1. In cProjects Version 4.0 there is a provision to add addtional fields in standard pages in existing tab. This is done using Enhancements. Refer Note: 942560 950896
2. If the Tab is appearing without the field, it could be possible because the filed is not defined for Field Control.
Try including the new field in the Field Control. Refer Note: 947936

Reema.
