regarding PM module

hi experts,

my doubt is related to PM module...In transaction IP02 for a maintenance plan with strategy some cycle and units are appearing...these are getting stored in trans. table T351P...in this table there appears to be more cycles/unit than those appearing in transaction IP02....can anybody tell me what exactly is the problem or is there something I am missing??

The links are as follows. In strategy we define the list of packages (what you call as cycles and units). Tasklist use these packages for specifiying at what intervals the operations are to be performed. So specify the strategy in task list and check which operation is executed at which package. Now it is possible not all packages can be used by a task list. So may be there in the strategy and still be not used. So when u create a maintenance plan for the combination of strategy and tasklist it picks up only the ones which have been specified as usuable in the tasklist.
