Hello Guys! I've been working with SAP PI 7.0 for years and more recently with SAP PI 7.31 (Java-Only). According to SAP Best Practices Name Conventions, there are 3 Software Component Strategies:
1) Using one software component to hold all the objects of an integration scenario.
2) Using two software components: one for the sender and one for the receiver objects.
3) Using three software components: one for the sender, another for the receiver and a final software component for the objects which cross both (like operation mappings).
I know that strategies 2 and 3 may be better for reuse but I would like to know which strategy you guys really use!
Julio
I have used strategy 3 in many projects and also recomend this vertical approach

I think strategy 3 is the best. in most of the projects that i worked, i saw everyone using strategy 3.
