EHP 7 - Service HIER_VIS_UI_WRAPPER Error

Hi All,

We upgraded EHP 4 to EHP 7, one standard function Hierarchy view for Organization Unit.

For this we activated service HIER_VIS_UI_WRAPPER in SICF. When we are testing [i.e test service] getting below error in Browser.

"The Flash control is not responding. Possibly the Java plug-in of the browser is deactivated or not installed."

We installed flash player in our machines and tried so many times its getting same error.

Please suggest any one.

Hi Vijay,

We were struggling with the exact same issue in our Netweaver 7.4 BI Portal.

The solution was to activate the BusinessSuite Services in SICF in the Backend HR System [EHP7].

TCODE: SICF --> Navigate to: default_host/sap/public/BusinessSuite

and activate the Services.

Deactivate in your Java Control Panel in Advanced tab find Mixed code (sandboxed vs. trusted) security verification  and select Disable Verification.

Try to reinstall the java again and see whether it works.

Add the portal address to trusted sites and try again.

Can you try clearing Flash Player cache and see if it works.

We have Checked below SAP Notes.

1. 2027285 - How to clear the Adobe Flash Player cache.

Cleared the caches as per SAP note.

2. 1969265 - Dashboards fail to load on BI widgets.

We have Flash player plugin 14.0.

3. 1363236 - Internet explorer stopped this site from installing an activeX control

As per sap note i enabled all the given options.

Still getting error.

is there any settings we need to active in server side?

OS - Windows 8 64 bit & Browser version - IE 10.

We checked in windows XP and 7 also.

1. With same browser you can play any flash player clips? link  youtube videos?

2. Is this any error message in transaction code SM21 & Dump in ST22?

1. We are able to play the clips in that browser.

2. Not found any error in SM21 and ST22 dumps.
