CV04N search fields for Custom Fields

Hi Gurus,

My user has a requirement to search the Custom Fields maintained in CV01N, as we have option for other data, but with reference to Custom Fields we do not have any options on that.

Can you please suggest what would be the best possibilities to search for Custom Fields in CV04N.

Hi,

In CV04N, goto Additional data tab->Enter your class and class type there then you may be able to see your custom filed for search.

Dear Naveen,

Add the same customized field in Characteristic and include that with class..then these fields will be shown in Additional Data tab now use ABAP help to copy the custom field data in there Characteristic field.

Then you will be able to search DIR in CV04N since only Characteristic field will be available in CV04N classification tab.

Hope this will help you as i am using the same.

Have you used Class & Characteristics for your custom field requirements?

If yes, then it is already available in CV04n as search by 'Additional data'.

I was able to search by class & Characteristics, but not by Custom Fields.

Hi Naveen,

If it is other than class & characteristics, then search by those custom fields are not available. You may have to do development .

I would recommend you to include those custom fields as part of class & characteristics to use the standard search feature.
