ADS RFC not Working

Hi Gurus,

My SAP development server is ABAP Stack and Solution Manager is Dual stack (ABAP+ Java),I have configured ADS service on Solution manager,

Now I have created a ADS RFC in Development server when I check the connection test getting the Error as given below...

Detailed	value
Status HTTP   Response	403
Status Text	Forbidden
Duration Test   Call	573 ms

RFC Configuration:-   Technical Setting:-

                                 RFC Destination- ADS

                                  Connection Type- G

                                  Target Host- Solution manager Host

                                   Service No- 50000 ( My solution manager instance no is - 00)

                                   path Prefix- /AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=rpc

Login & Security :- Select Basis Authentication

                              User- ADS_AGENT

                               Password-  ADS_AGENT user password

When I check the connection test getting the error as

Detailed	value

Duration Test   Call	573 ms

When I remove the path Prefix (/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=rpc) from Technical setting after that connection test then  found OK...

Now when I check the report FP_TEST_00 in SA38 ,use the ADS connection is ADS and output device select the LP01 then getting the error as "cannot find PDL type for output device LP01"

Please help to resolve these issue and ADS configuration........

Hi Divyanshu ji,

As per you my service should be FP_ICF_DATA_Solution Manager SID and Url should be

http://Solution Manager Host:8000, in connection setting  SYSTEM ID- Solution Manager, Client- Solution Manager...

Please correct if I am wrong....

Hi All,

I have little confusion regarding the Destination service, ADS configured on the Solution manager and ADS using in Development server, My destination service would be FP_ICF_DATA_Solution Manager SID or Development SID?

also same in URL:-

http://Solution manager Host:/Port (8000)

http://Development Server Host:/Port (8000)

I checked the HTTP port of both server is 8000 via SICF.....

This should be your java stack system. Perhaps, your solution manager system..

Trace file is around 8MB, zip format and  large file size not supported the system, so please suggest how to attach the 8MB file.

It's not the file that was requested. You can find defaultTrace.X.trc file in instance directory (like /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance_number>) in j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log.

Hello Ashwani ,

First of all , PDF printing with LP01 will not work  with device type SWIN.

So try to test the printing with device type PDF .

Also regarding ADS errors ,please carry out thest as mentioned in note : 944221.

These test will help you to fine out the error,

You need to use a different printer, as printer type sapwin is not supported. Use a printer with type postscript, pcl or similar (try printer lp01).

Please check the oss notes 685571, 952297 .

Hi Divyanshu ji,

When I test the report FP_PDF_TEST_00 on my Development server, I getting the error as given below " SYSTEM ERROR:SOAP Framework error:SOAP Runtime Exception:CSoapException Transport:HTTP response contains unexpected content-type (100,101)."

Please checking make changes as per the below note.

1004321 - ADS error: Incorrect content type found 'text/html'

Retype the same password and mark the checkbox 'No password change is required' in VA user mmanagementsecurity provider service.

or for useradmin and change the ADS user security policy field to technical user.

Hi ,

Already Checkbox checked (No Password change required)  for ADSUSER and also both users ADSUSER&ADS_AGENT unlocked, but as per the Notes when we open the browser and check the ADSUSER in security policy as default but not able to change to Technical, but this user is already define as system in user type......
