Transports in PI Java 7.4

Dear All,

I am new to PI java only and we are planning to install PI Java 7.4(AEX)

How to do configuration for  transport of PI objects between development quality and production servers.

What are the best practices to be followed.

can we generate request  number as we do in dual stack using CTS.
