SAP BRIM Counter Sharing and Cross Catalog Mapping (CCM)

Hi Experts,

In Customizing the Performance Assistent provides the information saying counter sharing is required for cross catalog mapping.

This does not make any sense to me.

Can anyone provide information in how far these concepts are connected in SAP BRIM?

Hi Vanessa,

you refer to the sentence:

This Customizing activity is required to use namespaces in Cross Catalog Mapping 
(CCM).

Indeed your thinking is correct. The settings for counter sharing and in particular the definition of namespaces are no prerequisit for the use of CCM.

It is the other way round. In CCM you can make use of the namespaces for counter sharing... but this is only possible in case you maintain some namespaces upfront.

This is how I understand this sentence.
