Hi srinivas,

When ever client copy, Backup or sgen is in progress there is likely chance for rapid generation of radiologist, which in turn occupies space in /oracle/<SID>/mortar FPS.

to resolve this issue..

check if oraarch is already 100%, if so please make some space in oraarch by moving some dbf files to sapdatas (if there is space in SAPDATAs) and try to execute brarchive

we can run brarchive to disk

we can run brarchive to tape

also try to run brclean.

brclean will delete if there are alredy saved redologs.

with this orarch issue will be resolved.

Please monitor utilization of oraarch.

Hi,

When the oraarch directory is 100%, You unable to enter into the SAP system.

Just to solve that problem first find the space in the sapdata's and move some of the files from oraarch directory to sapdata's. Then try to move files from oraarch to tape or pool disk if the space is available. But dont forget once fill level decreases you must have to return back the files from sapdata's to oraarch.

Thanks Lolla

for those who are curious...

-> just run brarchive with option -sd (save + delete) and you will gain space...

All the transactions that are happening will be recorder in ORAARCH directory, if its at 100% you will get the SAPGUI , but once you provide the user id and the password .. it will hang... in order to get in... you can add space to the filesystem.. or Back up ur archives using RMAN..
