To change Standard SAP texts in SGTXT (Travel Trip Posting)

Hi Friends,

We have a requirement where the standard SAP texts need to be modified in Travel Management. This is to be done for English/Chinese languages. The posting documents should reflect the text changes in the respective languages once the Travel posting is done.

CURRENTLY PRESENT		REQUESTED
STANDARD SAP TEXT		CUSTOM TEXT NEEDED
ENGLISH	CHINESE	ENGLISH	CHINESE
Req.from	请求自	Cash Advance	借款
Trip from	差旅自	Trip Fee	差旅费

Where the changes should reflect

(Please note the Chinese texts are present when we login into the SAP system with Chinese language.)

We have identified that the SGTXT field gets populated in the table PTRV_DOC_IT after the PRFI transaction is executed and a posting run is created.

We would like to know

1. if it is possible to change SAP STANDARD TEXTS to custom ones and
2. what would be the best possible approach to achieve the same.

Please share your expert advice.

Hello

Yes, use BAdI TRIP_POST_FI, method EX_SGTXT to change segment text. This way it will be kept after upgrades.

Alternatively you could overwrite translation to english and chinese but it will be lost after a system upgrade.
