Graphics rendering problem in web dynpro

Former Member

Hi all,

I have a problem using BusinessGraphics in my web dynpro application. I got the "Graphics Rendering Problem". Reading some foruns, Ive read in some thread that I have to have 5 files under my igs/conf folder of SAP installation, but I have only 2 (gwfchart.tpl and xmlchart.tpl).

One proposed solution is to apply one patch to my igs server.

My question is....

- How do I dowload the patches ? From where ? I couldnt find a download link.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

the corresponding note for the IgsUrl paramter mentioned by Rich is <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/704604">704604</a>.

I think you should check this first before you upgrade your IGS installation. Note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/931900">931900</a> shows you how to find out the IGS patchlevel. Then you see if your IGS is running (correct) and maybe an upgrade is needed also.

Hello Helder!

I have the same problem. In the conf-folder I have only the *.tpl-files and the igs.xml . I found the files xmlchart.dll and gwfchart.dll in another folder, so I copied them to conf. But unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. Could you solve the problem?

Hi Anja,

the two DLL's are the IGS chart interpreters. Every of these has its corresponding configuration file. The '*.tpl files are templates for these configuration files so you need to copy these to its name without file extension. But this does not solve the "Graphics Rendering Problem".

The IGS specifies a port on which it waits for HTTP requests (in NW04 this is specifed in igs.xml, in the LISTENERHTTP node). This port together with the hostname must be specified as IgsUrl in the WebDynpro settings. See the above mentioned note.

Best regards

Thanks Matthias!

I have already specified the igsUrl. However, its of no use, because my IGS is not running correctly due to the missing files. I will copy them and try again.

Thank you very much!

Hi Anja,

the IGS should run even without these configuration files. If it does not run without these files it seems that your IGS installation is very old and I would recommend an IGS upgrade, too.

Hi,

Did u find the igs.xml file in your igs folder..

Whats the response when you access http://hostname:listenerhttpport(as in igs.xml)..

If you get an output ur igs is working.. It might then be that the data to your BG UI element is not inproper format..
