SAP HR ESS and MSS

Hello All,

We have HR (EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0) 3 system landscape. For DEV the HR portal(ESS and MSS) is working fine. Customer is asking us to configure and check the HR ESS and MSS portal for QAS and PRD system. I don't know how to check the mapping of the portals and how it is working for these systems. So can anyone suggest and help me in this context.

How do you know it is working fine in DEV environment ?

Hello Deepak,

Customer gave me the portal link for DEV system and asked us if link is not configured for QAS and PRD then please configure the link. I am not a portal expert so not sure where to get it checked.

I checked the link DEV and it is opening and working.

This will list down the JCOs which needs to be tested for ESS/MSS . Also it provides background information on Portal configuration.

Hello Deepak,

Sorry for making it in wrong way. I just checked the configuration. So we have HR ABAP DHD, DHC and DHP system. and HR JAVA DDJ, DCJ and DPJ.

And customer is telling that ryt now connection is

DHD - DDJ

DHC - DDJ

DHP - DDJ

so please change it to

DHD - DDJ

DHC - DCJ

DHP - DPJ

So can you tell me where and how i can make this configuration change.

Hi Mohit,

Please check SAP system configuration as described in link below

Ensure that relevant SAP systems is defined and test connection works fine.

Post this maintain correct backend host in all the JCO connections listed in response above.

This ensures all the backend connections are pointing to correct host.
