Hi,

From the logs I could see that the file E:\usr\sap\SMD\J98\SMDAgent\configuration\secstore.properties" is missing.

Can you please check the existence of this file?

Hi Kunal,

Please uninstall your current SMD agent using below link

Uninstallation of SMD Agent Using SWPM SP04 - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki

Install a new diagnostic agent using below link

Installation of SMD Agent With SWPM SP04 - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki

Also, make the selection as per your OS and platform.

Once this is done. Restart your diagnostic agent with user DAAADM.

Dear Divyanshu,

I have uninstalled successfully our SMD Agent. But getting error during installing it.

1. While registering SLD -  SLD Server is not reachable...     I have continue it and further

2. getting error as per attached screenshot while inputting connection properties of Diagnostic Agent.

I have some  query as below

* The kernel using by us is a SOLMAN but our server is ECC 6.

* Previous Diagnostic Agent Name of this Server was SMD Whereas Now I have provided DAA.

Are above is the reason of Occured error.

Please suggest.

Hi Kunal,

You SLD should be reachable from your current system.

For that update your host file with SLD's hostname and test your connection by opening URL http://hostname:5XX00of your SLD server, where XX is your SLD's instance number. Also make sure the user of SLD data supplier exists with proper authorizations.

Otherwise, you can skip this step for now from the setup.

Register your agent on solution manager.

Use solman_admin or other admin user with password.

Update your host file with solman hostname an IP.

Name DAA is fine.

One more query, We already have Diagnostic agent DAA SMD 97 on Solution Manager, Thereafter is it required to be on ECC Server, Whereas the same is not on Production Server. Can You Clarify.

Yes, you need these agents on every logical system. In very short, this is required to configure alerting and do analysis of you instance from solution manager.

Hi Kunal,

Check that the user has SAP_SLD_DATA_SUPPLIER group assigned user in useradmin.

Also, you can assign any valid user with above group assigned.

This user should be in your SLD.

Goto your sldhost:5XX00/useradmin

Check for this userm, password and role.

After giving every one & administrator role and sap_cin group. I am getting error SLD User is not a valid user.

In User Admin I wanted to assign SAP_SLD_DAta_Supplier group but getting not right to save.

Hi Kunal,

You have to get this thing fixed. Login with Administrator(single stack) or J2EE_ADMIN and create a new user, assign correct authorizations to them.

If you can't do it then check with security guys or move back and skip this option.

Dear Divyanshu,

For self registration in a central SLD , SLD HTTP Host will be the our current DEV Host or Solution Manager Host. Please confirm as I am entering my current svdevsvr host name in SLD HTTP Host .

Hi Kunal,

You might be having a central SLD running on PI or Solman server. Give the hostname of that server, not this one.

If it's your solman, then give your solman host.

Hi Kunal,

Make sure you are checking the user credentials & role in the correct UME master client. (As your solman would be a dual-stack system - by default client 001).
