MOPZ edit xml for adapt source to target system

Hello I order to upgrade our ERP6.0 to ERP6.0 EhP7, the MOPZ as been realized on the Production system, but upgrade will be tested in a new server, MOPZ XML file can be manually modified to adapt SID and hostname but is there a solution or a tool to change the XML file automatically ? Eric

If everything is same for your prod and test systems(including patch level);

Hi Eric,

The most ideal way to achieve this is to create separate MOPZ entries for all systems as in this way the system picks up any difference in SP versions and add-ons.

However, your scenario is faced by most and copying and adapting the XML is the best workaround available as long as the new systems is true replica (in terms of SP/Kernel levels) of the one for which the XML was created for.

Hi Eric,

Yes,you can modify if your test system having same SP/Kernal levels as XML file generated system.you can manually change Host name,SID in XML file.

Open XML file as notepad and change host name and SID.For changing use replace it option.it is easy change the entries.
