How do I log into SAP PI 7.31 as a new user?

This might be a silly question, but I have just started learning SAP PI and I have been given the following system connection parameters to log into the PI Box.

Description,

Application Server,

Instance Number,

System ID,

Client,

Username and password,

Do you know how I log into the SAP PI Box (version 7.31), as a new user?

Go to the following link in your IE to open ESR/ID/PIMON/SLD etc

http://ApplicationServer:Port/dir

Replace ApplicationServer and Port from the details that you have.

For the first time logon, you will be asked to change the password,

If it is a dual stack server you can do the following to login into the ABAP Stack

Install SAP Logon and create New Item

Provide the details

Hi Osman,

Thank you for your help.

Currently, I have the following two links. The first one downloands but the second one does not. I am registered on the second link (PI2 Box). Do you have any idea why the second link does not prompt a 'Username and Password' page. I apprecieate your help!

Hi Sarah

What is the error you are getting when you are trying to open the link?

The links that you have provided is for the Start page. when you open the link, it should open the page like this.

if this page itself is not opening for you then try using the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) in the host.

Both of the link are working and I do see the sreen shot that you have included of the main menu.

The first link works but in the second one (Link 2: http://inmumsap24:50000/dir/start/index.jsp)- when I click on any of the menu items (i.e. System Landscape, ESR, ID), the sign-in page does not open, it just keeps loading but nothing happens. The following page does not show:

1. Check with different browser.

2. Check if this issue is happening only on your system or other. Try opening this in others system.

If possible send the screenshot of that page which is loading.
