No DBSL library available for MSSQL server

Hi,

I am executing managed system config for NW 7.31 system which has DB on a separate host.

During the step " Enter system parameters" for database, the DBCOCKPIT connection shows" No DBSL library available for MSSQL server refer SAP Note 1747109.

Since it has only SQL instance and no SAP kernel this error is occurring?

Please clarify. How to resolve this error.

Note : system kernel version 720_EXT patch 600.

Thanks in advance

Hello Daniel,

Have you installed the sql server client and DBSL in this separated host?

Hi ,

The SQL server is on a separate host along with DBSL.

Solman is running on AIX and DB2 combination.

Thanks in advance

Hello Daniel,

You are trying to setup a connection to an external SQL Server instance.

With your current configuration (OS AIX) is not possible to setup this connection because Microsoft released the necessary files only to Windows and Linux.

As workaround, you can install a Linux (or Windows) application server to setup the DBCON.

For more information, check note 1601608.

Regards,

Eduardo
