Can't find The Report Quality Issue Application

Former Member

Hello experts,

i'm trying to follow the steps on this how to for SAP Fiori App extending and can't even start right...

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80ec8772-9b7b-3110-6999-f0f326fed...

My problem is that i can't find the featured app inside my SAP system. When I type in the url

[...]/sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5/demokit/test-resources/sap/ca/appref/noShellIndex.html

the page loads and displays the report quality issue application. Back in the SAP system I tried to find it in

SE80 -> MIME Repository -> SAP -> PUBLIC -> BC ->

and now there's no ui5_ui5 folder, just a ui5 folder.

So, where is my mistake? Hope you can help me out of this!

I want to locate the app, find out it's name for later download in /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD to import it in my eclipse for further steps.

After the extending inside eclipse I want to import it back to the SAP system.

Is there any problem or mistake in my plan?

Hi Thomas,

Go to SE80, BSP application UI_QM_CREATE.

You can find info in app catalog. App Implementation: Report Quality Issue - SAP Fiori Apps - SAP Library.

Hi Masayuki,

thank you for your answer.

I followed your advice but faced the next problem:

About our system:

Component version SAP ECC 6.0

SAP_BASIS release 702 SP-level 0014
UISAPUI5 release 100 SP-level 0006

So i guess I need the latest (or at least a newer) release of something!?

Hi Thomas,

UI components are on Gateway server. Have you installed UIEAAP01?

Hi Masayuki,

please correct me, if I'm wrong:

to check, if a component is installed, e.g. UIEAAP01, I go to

System -> Component Information -> in this dialog I should find the components !?

unfortunately there's no UIEAAP01 among them

So my next step is to install this component, right?

Thanks for your help so far!

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Please share your main purpose? If you want to learn extensibility, you can use other apps. If QM application is not configured in ERP, it does not make a sense for installing UI for QM. There are 300+ fiori apps. It is better you select a app which function is already up and running on ERP.

Hi Masayuki,

You are right, my main purpose is to lern the extensibility of fiori apps. So if the report quality issue application is not (yet) installed on my system, what other fiori app _should_ be installed on my system so far?

Can you recommend a similar app, so that I can learn along the how to I posted in the initial post?

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

What scenarios are up and running in your ERP backend system?

Before you test extensibility, you have to check 2 prerequisites.

1. The scenario should be up and running in the ERP backend

2. The standard Fiori apps should be up and running.

Hi Masayuki,

I think I found something on my system:

UISAPUI5

UISRA002

UISRA009

The app ui5_fi_trreq_ap is there too and can be exported via the repository load.

So far, so good. But...

According to App Implementation: Approve Travel Requests - SAP Fiori for SAP ERP 1.0 - SAP Library the app should be named ui5_fi_trreq_apV.

Is this a problem?

Importing the app in eclipse leads me to another problem. According to App Extensibility: Approve Travel Requests - SAP Fiori for SAP ERP 1.0 - SAP Library there should be som XML view files, where I can find extension points, but as far as I can see, there aren't any XML files besides web.xml - Just HTML view files.

So what can I do now?

Again thanks so far Masayuki!

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

You have installed old UI. Install new UI.

Hi Masayuki,

thanks again for your good help .

At the moment it seems as if I have to work with the given - old - UI. Do you know any references explaining how to extend this old release state? Is it even possible?

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Please talk with your customer. It does not make a sense to go live with very very old UI.

UI extension is available with new UI.

Hi Masayuki,

the fun continues

I finally found a appropriate version of UI_QM_CREATE on another system and exported it so I can work in eclipse.

Again I want to do the use cases as shown in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80ec8772-9b7b-3110-6999-f0f326fed...

But how do I run the app, since there's no index.html or something? Is it a wrong version again?

When I open the BSP in SE80 and try to test it I get the following message:

Fiori slowly bugs me .
