Hi there,
I have problems connecting to the MDM Server. In my case, the origin is the GDS Console, but I guess it is an mdm4j problem.
When I try to call the GDS Console in the web browser, I get the following "Configuration Error":
Can not connect to MDM Server defined by:
MDM server: '<ip address>'
Possible reasons:
1. MDM server is down, use MDM console to start.
2. The server parameter is incorrect, use Visual Admin to configure the parameter (Server -> services -> configuration adapter -> apps -> sap.cpm -> GDS -> appcfg -> propertysheet application)
3. MDM server version does not match the required version: '5.5.35.16'
In the default trace, I get the entry:
"Problem while getting repository '<Repository>' for MDM server '<ip address>'"
The MDM server is started (and reachable from the server hosting the GDS Console) and the repository loaded.
mdm4j and the MDM Server both use version 5.5.15.36
I was also able to connect to the repository with a Java test application.
Does anyone know a good way to perform troubleshooting?
Kind regards,
Dennis
The solution to my problem:
The MDM server may not be password-protected...
According to SAP, there will be an option in GDS 1.0 SP6.
