Hi folks,
We're tearing our hair our here! Solution Manager and alerting!
Every Wednesday at 6.30am we reboot one of our systems. I have scheduled downtime in Work-Mode Management for that system from 6.15am to 7am - ample time for the server to come back up.
At 6.32am, it alerts - "Java System not Available"
We just can't figure out why Sol Man continues to alert even though we have scheduled downtime.
Can anyone help please? Thank you.
Hi Paul,
The solution Paul has given is correct, however, this will only work if you have selected the Downtime workmode within the configuration of the System Monitoring for this system.
hope this helps
Regards
Deepak

Hi Paul,
In Schedule Work Mode for technical component screen area goto CCMS Monitoring Settings tab page.
Select the CCMS-Based Monitoring checkbox.
The level should be Monitoring Pause.

Hello,
which type of monitoring do you use? I mean do you use CCMS-Based Monitoring or Technical Monitoring infrastructure?
See the link https://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp08/helpdata/en/bf/5a62721652477592bf3441cc5ab6ec/content.htm and there it should be part Procedure, point 2.
