CC\PC Hierarchy loading in MDG

Hi,

I am facing an issue in uploading the CC/PC hierarchies.

Reason being, ECC and MDG hierarchy not matching 100%.

I am doing this with the report program which I found from post in SCN.

Report Name: KBAS_MDGF_SET_DOWNLOAD

My question is, what is the value which I need to enter for the mentioned tabs:

1: Hierarchy Entity Types

2: Download to File

Kindly assist.

Best regards,

kaustubh

Hello Kaustubh

For hierarchy download, give following parameters -

1, Set class - 0101 - CC group / 0106 - PC group

2. Set name - is your topmost hierarchy value. If hierarchy is say 1000 then give 1000

3. Controlling area

4. Leading Field - COAREA - for cost center and PC

5. Hierarchy name - CCTRH

6. Node - CCTRG

7. Leaf - CCTR

File name - you can specify the file name according to the hierarchy name / node. After executing the program, 3 files will be generated. You can use them to upload in MDG. Go through the documentation for further details.

4. Leading Field - COAREA - for cost center and PC-0001

5. Hierarchy name - P0001

6. Node - P0001-1

7. Leaf - Testpctr

Can you analyze the dump? You should not get the error if file path and other details are fine. What is the file name you are giving?

Hello Rama

The files you get after executing the program are -

1. Hierarchy - Top most node of hierarchy of PC and CC

2. Group - List of all the CC or PC groups

3. Assignments - Assignment - i.e Cost center to group and group to hierarchy....

The sequence of loading the file is -

.1. First download entire master data for CC and PC from respective tables in tab deliminated file.

2. Create a layout for CC and PC to load the data

3. Load master data first in MDG.

4. Then load hierarchy file - where you have only 1 record

5. Then load the group file

6. The last file is your assignment file. Before loading assignment, you have all your master data in the tables. Program checks for each record and upload it in MDG. If a single PC or CC or group is missing then you get error.

Try these steps and the data will be loaded without any issue in MDG. Be careful on your edition.

File Name:C:\Users\cg-ramalakshmi\Desktop\100101.csv

Error: due to the Mismatch in file structure

Characteristic Company Code : The value is too long (7 is greater than 4 )

Characteristic CO Area : The value is too long (10 is greater than 4 )

Characteristic CO Area : The value is too long (10 is greater than 4 )

Characteristic CO Area : The value is too long (10 is greater than 4 )

Characteristic CO Area : The value is too long (9 is greater than 4 )

Assignments of Profit Centers : Part of the key TESTLEVEL1 contains an initialized value

In the file I have the data about assignment(PCTRH&PCTRG).but due to the selection of entity PCCCASS it is mapping the value with Company code &CO area

Required correct Entity type for assignment of PCTRH &PCTRG

Hi

First load - PCTR then PCTRH then PCTRG - here you have 2 options i.e 2 different layout. In NWBC when you select Profit center group you need to select attribute and hierarchy. When you select attribute its group details. When you select hierarchy then you have to use the assignment file.

PCTRACC is the entity type used to assign company codes to Profit center and this is last activity.
