Historical data in Planning book-Limit the range

Hi Team,

How to restrict the historical data in the planning book… in the current view, the historical sales data is showing from 2010 onwards..but I need only from 2012 Jan to till the date.

Hi Vijesh,

If you want to restrict only the data, which is being displayed in data view, you can do the same in data view settings tab in planning book config. transaction code /sapapo/sdp8b. Select date for option "Visible"

In case you want to restrict the data in planning area itself, then you need to control the same in planning area, time series object creation, select desired start and end date there.

Hi Vijesh,

I think controlling at Planning book/Data view level would be a better option. In this case if you want to use further history data in future you can just change the settings of planning book and data view and it will be visible.

Hi Vijesh,

The time period in which the data in shown in the planning book depends on the time bucket profile. Based on the above information it seems you have time bucket profile assigned for 4 years in the past. Please create a new time bucket profile, or assign an existing profile of 2 years in the planning book data view (to show data from 2012 onwards).
