Incident Managment for VAR - Transactions SMIN ZMIV SMIV

Hello,

We could not figure out to :

During creating an incident have the systems display in addition to transaction types SMIN and ZMIV  also the transaction SMIV.

We would like to have it during testing in order to compare to ZMIV.

Also - Why do we see differences between ZMIV and SMIN in the number of statuses , actions ?

Thanks,

Moshe

Hi Moshe,

You find number of difference b/w SMIN and ZMIV because they serve different purposes. SMIN is for standard Incident and ZMIV is for VAR Incident. How you work with incident is different in each case, hence the actions, statuses differ.

Hi Vivek,

if a company provides SAP Support to their customers, which transaction should be used at customer site, SMIV or SMIN? For example, transaction crashed and a customer wants to create incident, should customer use smin or smiv?

Hello, Željko.

You should use SMIV transaction type.
