Email Reminder Job Variant Values in SAP GRC AC 10.0

I need to send an email reminder to the approvers of any access request, about the requests pending in their GRC Work Inbox.

This reminder is to be sent till 7 days from the date on which the access request is submitted.

How can I schedule the email reminder job in terms of :

a. Frequency

b. Variant

The variant that needs to be created while scheduling the job consists of two parameters :

a. Period (in days)

b. Don;t remind till

What values do I need to maintain in these two parameters of the variant?

Dear Shruti,

you can define the periods in days for reminding a pending request. Means if a request is pending for 7 days you can send a first email (Period in days: 7). Also you can define for how many days the reminder should be skiped for a particular access request. If you define also 7, then the approver will be reminded every 7 days.

I suggest to run the program once a day. So the program will check daily if requests are 7 days overdue and will remind a particular request approver once in 7 days.

Let me give you an example when the program runs daily:

  • Day 1: no reminder
  • Day 2: no reminder
  • Day 3: no reminder
  • Day 4: no reminder
  • Day 5: no reminder
  • Day 6: no reminder
  • Day 7: First reminder (as the request is pending for 7 days)
  • Day 8: no reminder
  • Day 9: no reminder
  • Day 10: no reminder
  • Day 11: no reminder
  • Day 12: no reminder
  • Day 13: no reminder
  • Day 14: Second reminder (as the request is still pending, and approver wasn't reminded for 7 days)

Hope this makes it clear.

Regards,

Alessandro
