Hi All,
We have several files with .java and .class extension in our E:\usr\sap\SID\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\work directory of production system but not in Dev and QA. Does any one have an insight on what this "work" directory is used for ? We would like to delete these files if they are not linked to any of the applications.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Rajeev
Could you check this link & SAP Notes
Viewing Logs with the SAP Management Console - SAP Management Console - SAP Library
1589548 - J2EE engine trace files fills up at a rapid pace

Hi Sriram,
We are not looking at /usr/sap/SID/<instance dir>/work but rather a work directory in portalapps.
I'm trying to understand why there are files like jsp_portalappsXXXXXXXX.java and jsp_robotsXXXXXXXX.class in E:\usr\sap\SID\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\work directory. These referring to some application in the portal, how to find that link.
Strange thing is that most of the applications installed in the portal are same thorough out landscape but still we are seeing files only in Prod but not in Dev or QA.
Thank you,
Rajeev Yadav
