Problem in creation of Customer Master

Hi gurus,

I am facing problem in creation of customer master.

I have created a account group zz01 copying from 0001.which has internal no. assignement for the customer.

Now i am trying to create a customer master, at partner functions level under sales area data... the system is asking for the no. for each partner functions.. when i tried to manually enter, the system is not taking any number nor it is letting me save the data.

Please help me out in acertaining, what could be the issue.

Hi Gupta...

Please check out this by going to partner determination...whether the proceedure is assigned to ur account group... as well as check whether each partner function is assigned to account group....

As per my knowledge this will solve ur issue

Assign account group of SP to all other partner functions such as SH,BP,PY. ( Ex: ZZ01 to BP,PY,SH) This will solve your problem.

Dear Mr Gupta,

There is one more setting of allowable partner functions for account group.

Configure this. This will definately solve the problem

HI,

This is due to number range assignment where you might have given external number range. Remove this and create customer you will not get message to enter the number.

assign partners to the account group.. and partner procedure to the account group..

This is solve ur problem...

Hi Guptha,

ITz clear that u havent maintained partner determination for customer master,

Tcode: VOPA

choose the customer master radio button,

define partner det procedure,

assign the partner functions within ur newly defined partner determination procedure,

assign ur partner det procedure to ur account group

now assing ur each partner functions to ur account group.

*DOnt forget to save each activity individually,in every step which u pass on

its due to the number ranges that is specified in the partner determination ... chech what is the number range assigned in the parner determination ,,, so once u check that u have to manually enter the number between that range only .. this should solve ur problem...

path to check the number range is as below :

spro-img-logistic generalbusiness partner-customers---define account groups and field selection ---

at this point click position button at the bottom and give ur account group .. select ur account group and click detail button .. now inside that u can see the specified number range .. dafault is 08 ( means u can specify between 400000 to 499999)..

and some times u may not have defined number range... check urs and create accordingly ... this should solve ur problem...

Hi,

Check the partner determination procedure.

Check whether you had assigned all the required settings against the partner functions with your account group.

Do all the settings and check once again.

have u assigned that account group in the partner determination procedure.

Kindly check, as the error should lie somewhere there.

Also can u explain what is the exact error taht it is giving?
