Qlikview is a visualisation tool, Business Objects is an enterprise BI suite, including ETL tool (BODS).

BusinessObjects has the more complete offering and will allow you to work in different roles e.g. report writer, analyst, BO universe developer, BO administrator, ETL specialist and that's without moving back up the chain to BW or data warehouse development.

There are also great hopes that SAP Lumira can succeed where Xcelsius has not done as well as expected.
