Solved: Oracle Release upgrade from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4

Hi

I'm planning to upgrade existing oracle 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4 on windows 2012, Kindly help on the procedure I have read the upgrade guide .

But need confirmation before starting the upgrade .

1) Took backup of the current oracle home backup & Oracle inventory

2)changed the Oracle_home and TNS_ADMIN env pramaeter

3) Install the new oracle software i.e. 11.2.0.4 ( select install database software only or upgrade existing database )

4) From new home we need to execute the dbua

5) Perform post activities.

Do let me know if have missed any steps.

Hello Krishna,

1) Pls take complete back up of database without leaving anything.

3) select install database software only

4) Pls set env variable-> ORACLE_HOME_TGT as per SAP standard document. and run dbua.sh under it.

Thanks for your suggestions ,

I have stopped the installation deleted those oracle s/w files and extracted the files again it worked .

Have you checked the standard upgrade guide?

Download the latest version and perform the steps as mentioned in the upgrade guide.
