What is the main difference in between WMTOCO and WMTORD idoc What are the scenario where only WMTORD or WMTOCO or both can be used
Hi Jaheer,
WMTORD---can be used to create/ confirm the transfer order, can be used as incoming/ outgoing
WMTOCO - only applicable for confirmation of transfer order(prerequisite transfer order should exist in system) as far as i can visualize it is only incoming
Goto WE57
enter WMTCID03 for WMTOCO and WMTOID01 - for WMTORD in Basic type and compare the field This will give you a broad idea (e.g. MATNR is not available in WMTOCO whereas the same is available in WMTORD)

WMTORD is used for sending / receiving a TO. It is like creating a TO with LT01, LT06 or LT03.
WMTOCO is used for TO confirmation - like using transaction LT12 to confirm the existing TO.
So you would first create a TO by using IDOC WMTORD and then confirm this TO by using IDOC WMTOCO.

Mihailo

Hi,
If you can check there is a documentation available on SDN (PDF) which explains both what is WMTOCO and WMTORD and where it is used. Its wonderful info for you.
I am worrying that if the link posted this post will be deleted considering SCN post limitations. You can just google it WMTOCO & WMTORD and on google results you will find PDF mentioning 'Test catalog'.
