SAP Lumira installation

Hi,

can you please clarify the below queries on SAP Lumira

1.can we install SAP Lumira in the BIP4.1 (Business Intelligence Platform 4..1) Platform?

2. Is this possible to publish the SAP LUmira objects to CMS Database to view it in BI Launchpad?

3. which Lumira version is having features to use Design studio objects and BW backend directly in Lumira

On this:

** BI4.1 add-on is needed and it is not yet GA

** this is not available yet.  We heard at ASUG Annual Conference these would come in upcoming patches.

When I check the Lumira Guide, it is having features to use UNX universe which is created in IDT. When we are not having Add-on for BI4.1 then how we can access the BI4.1 Universe in Lumira? and How it's differs with SAP Lumira Cloud?

You can access .UNX data in Lumira Desktop for your visualizations, but without the BI4.1 add-on you can't publish to the BI Launchpad.  You can publish your visualization to Lumira Cloud

Could you please clarify the importance of SAP Lumira Cloud as we have SAP Lumira Server to publish stories from lumira desktop to access everyone.

This is probably a separate question - but to me, Lumira Cloud is handy if you don't want to manage a Lumira Desktop installation.  You can create Infographics, etc., with Lumira Cloud.

My opinion only, it is easy to access Lumira Cloud without a VPN connection - so you may have to have a VPN connection to access Lumira Server.

It depends on your use case

This is regarding UNX universe access via Lumira.

SAP has not released add on for BI4.1, so we can not publish to the BI Launchpad. In this case,how it is possible to use BI 4.1 universe in Lumira?

Do we need to specifically copy the UNX universe to Lumira installed server? or can we access the BI4.1 environment from Lumira itself?

You can publish .UNX data source Lumira visualization to either Lumira Cloud or Server - you don't need the BI4.1 add-on
