Credit Card - Authorization in VA01 - RFC

Hi Experts,

i have read many documentation regarding credit card on VA01, but can not find an answer for it:

When working on VA01 with credit card funtionality, how is the connecion with the 'payment gateway' being carried out? Is there any specific Idoc / RFC connection that SAP provides for this? or it has to be developed specifically? How is the set up working..

  did you read also this help document:

Payment Card Interface to Clearing Houses - Payment Card Processing (SD-BIL-IV) - SAP Library

It states that you need to develop your own function module to call via RFC the external software for the authorization, and assign it via customizing.
