Hello,
I wanted to use an application controller in my FPM application. I have created a class that implements IF_FPM_APP_CONTROLLER but when I open my OIF component configuration in the FLUID editor, I can not see anywhere in the general setting as described in the help (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/08/9a33963ffa4a7fb76944955f049311/content.htm) to specfiy this application class. Even given that I'm working with a different version and the FLUID user interface may have changed here I can't see where to enter this information (below is a screen shoot of what I see).
OK I found the answer. I needed to put the application controller class in the box marked webdynrpo for it to be used - despite it not being a web dynpro component.
