Hello Kemal,

'#' characters mean that a character from the document does not fit into the current codepage, so it had to replaced by the hash sign.

This means: the Device Type can not handle these characters.

The codepage of a Device Type should not be changed, instead a different Device Type should be used.

So the solution would be: if you use a Unicode system, please test new spool requests with Device Type SWINCF. This is a Unicode Device Type which should be able to handle special characters.

Regards,

Laszlo

Hi Kemal,

Before this were you able to take the print outs from any other printer, means are you configuring this printer on the system ? Please confirm.

Second share the kernel level of your system. If possible try to patch the kernel.

Hi Kemal,

It looks to me a driver issue for the printer.

Please test the results first without SAP whether such characters are recognized correctly.

If the characters are recognized correctly without SAP then from SAP print should be coming correctly.
