Hello
This is my 1st thread so idk if this fits here, but i hope you can help me
There is my Scenario: my company implemented an ODA (Oracle Database Appliance), we have a VM with Oracle Linux 6 in which we are installing SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 but when installing im getting following error
An error occurred while processing option SAP Business Suite 7i 2013 Support Release 1 > EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 ABAP Support Release 1 > Oracle > SAP Systems > Application Server ABAP > Standard System > Standard System( Last error reported by the step: System call failed. Error 13 (Permission denied) in execution of system call 'openU' with parameter (/root/MEDIA_SAP/SWPM/COMMON/INSTALL/ORA/STARTDB, O_RDONLY), line (291) in file (syuxcfile.cpp), stack trace: EJSController.cpp: 181: EJSControllerImpl::executeScript() JSExtension.hpp: 1058: CallFunctionBase::call() iaxxbfile.cpp: 493: CIaOsFile::copyFromPath_impl() syuxcfile.cpp: 255: CSyFileImpl::copy(const CSyPath & /usr/sap/ECT/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64/startdb, ISyNode::CopyMoveMode_t 0x3, ISyProgressObserver*) const .). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to /tmp/sapinst_instdir/BS2013SR1/ERP607SR1/ORA/INSTALL/BS2013SR1/ERP607SR1/ORA/STD/ABAP.
I have checked permissions, hostname, jvm version (1.4.X.X)
but still getting this error
any idea ?
Hello Josue,
your problem is definitely a "permission error" .
Possibility:
I guess your installation software is under /root/MEDIA_SAP and this would be better to lie on a local filesystem (not network fs). It's better to provide 777 (full right) under installation software folders.
You should focus on the logfile again.
Regards.
