We just had the EACCES error and it was resolved by renaming the sapstartsrv.log files on the instance in the work folder. The restart of the service created a new sapstartsrv.log (you may also have to also rename the sapstart.log in the work directory also).

The serviuces started OK after this and the MMC came up.

Good luck

open Services MMC (command line: services.msc).

Double Click on Service SAPPRD_10.

In the general TAB have a look at Path to Executable.

If defaults have been used, this Service definition belongs to an ERS instance, the path will show c:\usr\sap\PRD\ERS10\exe\sapstartsrv.exe pf=..... (drive letter may vary).

Open Windows Explorer, browse to c:\usr\sap\PRD\ERS10

right click on the work subdirectory properties - Security TAB, Advanced Button.

The right security setting for the directory is:

SAP_PRD_GlobalAdmin (Domain Group)- Full Control, ACL is inherited from \usr\sap\PRD and applies to This Folder, Subfolder and Files.

The same settings are needed for:

Administrators, SYSTEM.

In this case the service should start.

If the security settings a different, please post a screenshot of the Advanced Security Settings Dialog.

regards

Hi Patel

1. From Second node have you access the virtual hostname share on Failover cluster? (Eg: \\virtual hostname\SAPMNT\SID\sys\profile) ?

2. In Failover cluster DB, SAP Application & Cluster groups preferred owners are both cluster nodes?

3. Is it possible you can fail over the resource from one to second node without any issue?
