Error update table in SM30

Hi everyone,

We have a problem when we try to update a Z* table. The updating works fine but we get the next message:

Connection error

The help button has no information. We press the end button and the table is updated properly, but the transaction finishes and we have to start again.

Any ideas about this issue?

The only relevant logs is in the ST11:

JCO.Server could not create server function 'Zxxxxxxxxx'

ABAP Programm: SAPLZPxxxxxxx (Transaction: SM30)

Called function module: Zxxxxxxxxxxxxx

User: xxxxx (Client: xxx)

Destination: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The RFC destination works fine. Maybe it is a development issue.

Can we have update logs, if not examine the reliability stats of particular table. Go through the related logs( like application, system logs..). Then figure out the root cause.

If issue is with particular table, then check the consistency and update statistics of the table.

Check system errors as mentioned above.

Are you getting any dumps under ST22 during the operation.

Check the work process trace file and the system log to see the possible causes.
