Hi Team

In PPM, item level, there is a financial planning tab which I am able to get all the projects that is using it via the project structure.

I am able to see all the projects that is using the financial planing after selecting 'Include subojects'. Is there a way to extract all this into an excel so we can then perform filter.

Attach is the sample screen shot.

Thanks

Kannan

Hi Kannan,

Export to excel and filtering option are available as of SP 9 in PPM 5.0.

Check out note 1759189

Thanks Anuradha.

So in short, we don't have this feature for now as we are using PPM 5.0

Hi Kannan,

As per the note given by Anuradha, the feature you are expecting is available in PPM 5.0 but only from support pack 09. You need to import support pack 09 to your system.BASIS team can help you on this.

What support pack are you in?

Hi Ravi

We are in support pack number 5. We have done some customising and if we do update the service pack, will there be a concern on the customising being overwritten to the PPM application

Thanks.

Hi Kannan,

Are you referring to customising done in Financial planning? You can redo the customising through SPAU.

But we did face issue with the ALV list (with export and filter option). We had to disable some views based on status and the developers could not do this with ALV list. So we switched back to normal list.

Hi Anuradha

We didn't customise our financial planning. It is the stand functionality that comes with PPM 5.0, We just created the structure and the values entered.

We us the following

- SPRO > SAP PPM> Global Customizing> Portfolio-Independent Settings >Define Financial and Capacity Categories

- SPRO > SAP PPM> Global Customizing> Portfolio-Independent Settings >Define Financial and Capacity Views.

Thanks.

Then there should be no problem in upgrading the SP.

If what I understand anu, your saying we can still update the SP level even though we have customising done to the application. It shouldn't cause any issue right?

Hi Kannan,

Generally there are 2 customization terms used..

1) Customizing - IMG

2) Customizing - Z developments

When you upgrade to new version/Support packs, the IMG customizing data does not get affected. But there will be a impact on the Z developments/enhancements carried out.

In your case, it is IMG customization, so it should not be problem in upgrading.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ravi
