SNP Heuristic run Planned order date at begining, middle or end of month bucket

Hi,

I have a requirement like, when SNP Location Heuristic run execute SNP planned orders are creating always end of the month. I need planned order to be created by heuristics at start of month or middle of month.

Example:

Planned independent Req - Date: 01.10.2014 - 2000 KG

                                                 06.10.2014 - 1500 KG

                                                 15.10.2014 - 5000 KG

                                                 20.10.2014 - 2800 KG

                                                 28.10.2014 - 3000 KG

SNP Planned order- Date:          31.10.2014 - 2000 KG

                                                31.10.2014 - 1500 KG

                                                31.10.2014 - 5000 KG

                                                31.10.2014 - 2800 KG

                                                31.10.2014 - 3000 KG

Master data: SNP PDS is source of supply.

Hi Lingaiah,

you can use period factor which can be maintained on the lotsize tab in location product, transport lane or PPM.

Hi Lingaiah,

The planned order creation inside a bucket is addressed through period factor.

For the above issue, you can maintain the period factor in product master lot size tab between 0 to 1. Value 0 will be start of the month in your case, 0.5 is the middle of the month and 1 at the end of the month.

I have maintained the above settings in product master data,period factor 0.5 is working fine. If i give 0 it is creating middle of month only, in my case it is not creating start of month bucket.

Is there any specific setting to create start of month?

Note: Use period indicator is active.

Please make sure it is "0.000" and not " " which would use default 0.5. Use F4-Help to set "0.000"

Please check if he product master setting really works by setting it to 1 and see if your order is created end of month.

Please also check if a period factor is maintained in either the PDS (T-Code: PDS_MAINT in ERP) or in transport lane. If so the PF from product master will not be considered.

Hi Lingaiah,

If using 0 in product master period factor is not creating planned order in the start of the month. Please check your period factor in the PDS, if a period factor is maintained there, then SNP heuristic consider that first and product master period factor is ignored.

Note: If there is no period factor maintained, the system uses 0.5 as default.

Hi Lingaiah,

In product master,under Lotsize tab, maintain period type as 'M' and factor as '0.5', which will make planning run to create planned orders in the mid of every month.

Read the documentation about period type and period factor.
