How is movement type determined in Return delivery document created w/o reference for material which is not WM managed

Hi Smitha,

Check your Delivery type in configuration, there you have assigned your Default Order Type as DL (Or something else).

For Copy control related behaviours system consider this DL (Order type) and (RE) Delivery type copy control settings.

Also, you have Item category determined in Delivery which would be REN system uses the same Item category to determine Schedule Line category.

One more example of similar requirement is STO related Delivery.

In STO, NL delivery gets determined, all related Values will be determined with above logic in STO related delivery.

VTLA for copy control (order RE to delivery LR)

VOV5 to check the assignment of schedule line DN to item category REN

VOV6 to check the movenet type 651 assigned to the schedule line cat DN

Hello Smitha,

System picks up the movement type 651 from schedule line category DN which will be determined in the return order.

I understand you are creating a return delivery without reference to a return order, in this case system checks the copying control and determines the sales document type, associated item category and schedule line category and picks the movement type assigned to it.

To cross check it in sandbox create a dummy schedule line category and assign a different movement type other than the one which is getting determined now, and assign this to item category REN and try creating a return delivery without ref.
