Customer Master Record and Sales Area

Hi All,

I'm new to SAP SD and so would appreciate some help.

A Customer Master Record may exist for many sales areas.  Does this mean many sales area within one Sales Organizational right??

sales area is combination of (sales org +distr channels +division )

setup sale area  we can use customer master data  more than one sale org

But does this mean that if there are 2 sales organisations than 2 records will exist for the same customer?

Welcome to the forum.  As a new member, I would like to inform you that there are certain rules and regulations applicable to this forum which you can find to your right screen where it has also been indicated that posting basic / repeated query is not allowed.

Please AVIOD  posting queries like this.  Since you have indicated that you are new to SD, it would be better if you test in SAP and see whether system is allowing or not so that you will learn on your own.

Dear choudry,

yes we will get separate records for each sales organization. Confirm your self by checking the customer sales area and check in KNVV Table.

    Sales area is a combination of [Sales Organization+ Distribution Channel+ Division}

A customer master can be extended to many sales area yes....

Not necessarily one or more sales organization also form a sales area.
