Production Order Display - Component Sorting

Hi, We are creating a Shop Floor Production Order Package which needs to contain the BOM Components for the production order.

The BOM contains numerous Phantom Materials.  When printing the BOM Components on the report we want it to be sorted in such a way that it maintains BOM integrity.  If I display a Production Order (CO03) and go to the Component Overview screen, I can select a sorting option called (ST_BOM BOM Sort) this sort option displays the components in the desired order. (See attachment) Is there a way I can get to see the code that is being run to generate this sort.  I have tried manually applying the logic using entries from RESB table but it seems pretty difficult to recreate.

Any ideas?
