SAP GUI front end version

Hi all,

We have upgraded our system to Basis 740.

When using in the past release Basis 700, we use sm04 to check the SAPGUI version.

Now, with 7.40 there's no information about SAPGUI version, have you any idea how to have this information.

Hello Aziz,

this column has been removed from SM04 between SAPKB740/00 and SAPKB740/07 due to security reasons.

This column has been added again in SAPKB740/08 - so if the SAP GUI version is needed, a KB upgrade is required.

Please see SAP KBA 2004293 - "EHP7 - SM04 missing GUI-Version information" for more information.

Until SAPKB740/04 the Report RSM04000_ALV also displays the GUI version. Unfortunately this Report was deleted in SAPKB740/05.

Thanks for your response, I've tested, and we can see now the column for SAPGUI version in this report.

I guess you only have to make the coloum visible. Please click "Change Layout" in SM04 and make the "GUI-Version" visible. Does this work?
