Setup SSO for SMP3 using X509

Dear Experts,

I'm installing the SMP 3 SP3 test lab for our developement team. Everything perfect except the developers must enter their userid/password for SAP backend access. Now, I wanna setup SSO between SMP3 and SAP Backend (GW + ERP) but the document on SAP help is not enough. I followed the How-to guides on SAP SCN to setup x509 certificate but it looks for SUP and the configuration is so difference. Does anybody have experience on setup SSO for SAP Mobile Platform? I'm really really appreciate your response. Please look at the steps I performed to setup x509 and tell me what's wrong on my procedure.

      On SAP Backend:

          1. Install SAPCRYPTOLIB on SAP Backend.

          2. Setup profile parameter.

          3. Go to TCode STRUST and create SSL Server standard.

          4. Create certificate request and send it to SAP SSL Test Server.

          5. Import certifcate response.

          6. Perform the same procedure for SSL Client standard.

          7. Export SAP EIS certificate.

      On SMP host:

          1. Export certificate smp_crt using keytool.

          2. Import SAP EIS certificate into SMP keystore.

          3. Import SAP SMP certificate into SAP EIS using STRUST.

          4. Log on to SAP Management Cockpit and setup application using x509.

          5. Enter SAP EIS certificate alias into application backend connection.

          6. Ping and failed 😞

Best Regards,

Cuong Nguyen

Can you post the error message? Did you import the root certificate (if you have signed it)?

I am looking for any such document which lists down steps to do is.

Have you set up this already.

Would you mind to share the step by step procedure.
