File not uploading correctly when file name has Germanic umlaut characters

Dear All,

I am uploading a file which has Germanic characters and may also contain other language characters.

Its Contents are successfully stored in the server but the file name is misinterpreted.

Example:

CV, Test Usålser

But its getting stored as CV, Test Us???lser

Please suggest.

Hello Prabaharan,

I feel this might be because of incorrect data type used to send those names in GW level.

U need to make sure that the data type used in ur beck-end shud be same as that of type used in GW level as well.

Check this.

Sometimes it might be because of unicode / non-unicode setting as well.

U may check these aspects once.

Hi Prabaharan, I´ve a few question s to that. When you say it´s stored in the Server, is it a DMS Content which is stored in a HTTP Content Server? Then probably this Forum isn´t fitting well? Maybe I have a similar Problem: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3633603 Best regards Martin Schneider
